『NANGA』は、1941年に先代「横田晃」によって、近江真綿布団の産地からスタートした、羽毛の町から生まれた寝袋メーカーです。社名「ナンガ」はヒマラヤ山脈にある「ナンガ・パルバット」に由来しています。ナンガ・パルバットは標高8126mで世界で9番目に高く、別名「人喰い山」とも恐れられ、今までにたくさんの遭難者を出してきた登頂が困難な山のことを指し、その社名には創業者横田晃の「困難だからこそやってやろう、みんなが登らんとこを登ったろう」という思いが込められています。そのNANGAのこだわりは羽毛です。長年培ってきた、羽毛の選定・洗毛・管理のノウハウによって、よりあたたかい羽毛製品を作り続けることができています。
